Sommer and hiking
After the vacation is before the vacation and that means more Camparie-Orange. In June and July, this can be perfectly combined with some almost midnight sun. I must say it is confusing with no night, meaning that here in Trondheim it does not get completely dark in summer.
On one of my bike rides, I noticed that all the other hikers suddenly stopped waking. Soon after I recognized that everyone started to take a picture of a moos.
In July one of my flatmates came up with the idea to hike up to the tip of Snøhetta, which is one of the few +2000m mountains in Norway. Planning and preparation were quick and the weather was relatively unstable. The hike turned out better than expected because the weatherfront did not move further inland and stopped at Snøhetter meaning a windy but sunny weather on the east flank of Snøhetta. The first day ended with ~25km of hiking and on the next day, we hiked to the top and back to the train station Kongsvoll. The second day resulted in ~30km and my legs were close to giving up. Sadly on the top, we were covered in clouds and it was cold and windy and I had to use everything that I had with me. Surprisingly a lot of people came up from the bad weather side as it would be nothing. I concluded that Norwegians do what they plan independent of the weather.
Later in July, we got more wonderful days for more hiking closer to the coast and yes blueberries/Schwarzbeeren how far the eye can see. All of them were nicely converted into jam and fresh Schwarzbeerschmarren.
