Christmas and Food
Food, friends and flight For Christmas, I went home to Austria to meet with family and friends. Well, this does not work in Austria without eating a lot of local food and drinking some beers and Schnaps to it. Sorry, Norway but some of the dishes from home are just too good, nothing can beat them. Being home does not work without meeting Florian and this year I had a partner sweater (now there are 3 😉) for him at Christmas.
End of Summer and Northern Lights
Nice autum days and norther lights Living in Trondheim is just wonderful if you like outdoor activities but swimming in Pirbadet is so awesome. They add salt water in the sports pool and I must say, I never had a stuffy nose after swimming (I go multiple times a week) all year long. Every time I go swimming in Austria I end up with a stuffy nose the next day.
Dovrefjell with Berhard
Wonderfull multiday hike in Dovrefjell After returning from Austria a good friend visited me from home. He already traveled a bit through Norway before he came to Trondheim. From there we drove south to the mountain region of Dovrefjell. The hike was spectacular on multiple levels. First, we had a heavy fog and could only see 25m around us. Next up, we meet a hunter, who was partially soaked in blood from a freshly hunted reindeer whose head was on the back of this back bag (scary).
Short stop in Tirol
Fleischkas and mountains After all, it was time to make a stop at home and see some family again. I must say, I missed Fleischkas (Leberkäse) and a good beer at a normal price. 🤣
Enjoy the pictures from Osttirol. I was not that lucky and the Großglockner did stay covered in clouds but the hike with Florian could not have been better. You have to enjoy everything as it comes, that way there is no bad weather or bad mood.
Sommer and hiking
Camparie-Orange and midnight brightnes After the vacation is before the vacation and that means more Camparie-Orange. In June and July, this can be perfectly combined with some almost midnight sun. I must say it is confusing with no night, meaning that here in Trondheim it does not get completely dark in summer.
On one of my bike rides, I noticed that all the other hikers suddenly stopped waking. Soon after I recognized that everyone started to take a picture of a moos.
